The Designer

Founded in 1837 by Thierry Hermès as a harness and saddlery workshop in Paris, Hermès sits at the apex of the French luxury hierarchy, its sixth-generation family ownership still shaping every collection from the Faubourg Saint-Honoré atelier. The women's ready-to-wear has been shaped by a lineage of rare creative directors — Martin Margiela, Jean Paul Gaultier, Christophe Lemaire, Nadège Vanhée-Cybulski — each threading their own discipline through the house's saddle-stitching, H buckle and Chaine d'Ancre codes.
