The Designer
Chanel's annual Métiers d'Art collections celebrate the house's specialist ateliers — Lesage for embroidery, Gripoix for jewelled buttons, Lemarié for feathers. The 2012 Paris-Bombay show at the Grand Palais was Karl Lagerfeld's homage to Indian craftsmanship, and this blazer carries its most collectible detail: original Gripoix buttons with poured-glass emerald cabochons set in gold.
