The Designer
Founded in 1961 Paris by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, the house rewrote the rules of modern womenswear — Le Smoking, the safari jacket, the Mondrian dress. After YSL's 2002 retirement, Tom Ford steered Rive Gauche (2000–2004), Stefano Pilati refined the couture DNA (2004–2012), and Hedi Slimane rebranded the house as Saint Laurent Paris in 2012 — razored silhouettes, Los Angeles rock grit, a cult collector market. Anthony Vaccarello has held creative direction since 2016.
