The Designer
Max Mara was founded in Reggio Emilia, Italy in 1951 by Achille Maramotti. The house built its reputation on Italian tailoring and coats — the 101801 camel coat is one of the most recognised pieces in twentieth-century ready-to-wear — and the family-owned group now spans Max Mara main line, Weekend Max Mara, and the top-tier Atelier line.
