The Designer

Laurèl was founded in Germany as the more accessible sister label to Escada — the Munich luxury house Margaretha Ley co-founded in 1976 — keeping the same Munich tailoring DNA and European production discipline at a softer price point. Vintage Laurèl pieces from the Ley era sit quietly on the collector market, still made in Italy and Germany to the standards of the mainline house.
