The Designer
Founded in Ancona in 1961 by Arnaldo Girombelli, GENNY rose to become one of Italy's most influential luxury houses of the 1980s and 90s, defining a generation of Milanese glamour through sculptural tailoring and opulent silk eveningwear. The house was an incubator for fashion's greatest names — a young Gianni Versace designed for GENNY from 1974, and Dolce & Gabbana contributed early in their careers.
