The Designer

Burberry was founded in 1856 by Thomas Burberry in Basingstoke, England — the house that invented gabardine and built the trench coat into the defining British outerwear silhouette. The recent creative direction has run through Christopher Bailey (2001–2018), Riccardo Tisci (2018–2022), Daniel Lee (2023–present).
