The Designer

Alexis Bittar founded his label in 1987 on a SoHo sidewalk in New York. Hand-carved Lucite and sculptural metalwork became his signature, stocked at Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue and worn by Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, and Sarah Jessica Parker.
